Pacific Heights/Presidio Heights
Pacific Heights has some of the most valuable property in San Francisco, with some of the best views of the San Francisco Bay.

Fillmore Street between around Bush and Pacific Streets is a fun place to explore upscale boutiques or sit at a café and people-watch. Fillamento is a very popular destination to go to for the latest in home décor. There is a nice neighborhood feel to this fashionable street.

In Presidio Heights nearby, many excellent stores, specializing in everything from expensive antiques to clothing to jewelry can be found on Sacramento Street between Laural Street to Divisadero and thereabouts. A popular place to have Sunday brunch in this area is Ella's at Presidio and California Streets, which is also the spot to find the upscale G - Bar, in the Laurel Inn, for evening cocktails in an elegant atmosphere.

Overall, Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights are mainly residential areas. It's an interesting area to hike about and look at the lovely, historic homes, not to mention taking in the views! A local company that specializes in short, level walks in this and other areas of San Francisco, is On the Level San Francisco Excursions at www.onthelevelsf.com where you can find out how to get their guide brochures, complete with maps and interesting information about each area. You will get a real workout if you choose to climb the hills of this area, but you might want the aerobic exercise!
